Youngster Becky Tunnicliffe is one of York's up and coming young talent's. Becky throws the Javelin for the City Of York Athletics Club and has already represented Yorkshire.
In 2009 Becky won the Gold at the Yorkshire and Northern Titles for the Under 15 age group and followed this up winning bronze at the UK Championships. Becky ended the season ranked number 3 in the UK for her age.
2010 has seen Becky continue to improve against girls older than her as she now competes in the Under 17 age group. Upto now she has won Gold at the Yorkshire Championships, Bronze at the Northern Championships, Bronze at the English School Finals and has been selected for the UK School games.
